I get a lot of questions from people who are nervous about the best way to tell their boss they’re resigning. Fortunately, there’s a basic formula for doing it well, and that’s what I wrote about for U.S. News & World Report this week. Check it out, and as always, I hope you’ll weigh in in the comments over there.

I joined my current employer around 3 months back. I had applied for another company before I had joined. But they have given me an offer now. The offer is hard to resist not monetarily but in terms of the oppurtunity that they will offer.
Now I want to resign here, but I do not want to disclose the name of my future employer. Can I say that I am leaving for personal reasons? Is it compulsory at all to disclose a reason for leaving?
