There’s a very nice review of my e-book over at YouShouldOnlyKnow, a blog I have long adored, run by Erica Manney. Who I think I first discovered when she commented here, maybe?
In addition to reading every word of the review — obviously — you should also check out these, which are some of my favorite past posts of Erica’s, who excels at telling stories about her family:
In totally unrelated news, check out this photo of mango sticky rice, prepared by yours truly. How awesome is that?

I love mango sticky rice! There’s a great thai food cart near my work that has awesome mango sticky rice. It is a struggle to not go there everyday.
Go there every day! It’s wrong not to.
I have never had mango sticky rice. I shall have to remedy this, and soon.
Josh, your assignment for this week is to obtain and eat mango sticky rice. Please report back to us afterwards!
Ooh! I never noticed your assignment until now (looking for some comment I made a while ago that I can’t seem to find again…I swear I left it around here somewhere…). I have failed at this task!
I’m on a crazy-wicked project this weekend, but as of Monday afternoon, I will be free to commence my search for Mango Sticky Rice in the city of Chicago!
I’m seriously going to frame that photo.
I am so jealous of your mango sticky rice. It’s borderline embarrassing.
Thanks for all the love. You make me want to spend more time with drunk grandma.
There’s nothing embarrassing about recognizing high quality cooking.
I have never heard of mango sticky rice, I think I need to look up some recipes…
Richard, you must have it right away! It’s amazing.
Here’s the recipe I use:

Much appreciated! I’m on a shoestring budget and eating ramen for a the next week until my next student loan rolls in, but I’ll keep that recipe! :)
I finally got around to making this last week, and it was incredibly delicious! Thanks for sharing!
Oh, I’m so glad you made it! It’s awesome.
Mango sticky rice reminds me of Summer in Bangkok. My mom would pick fresh sweet mangos from a mango tree in our house and eat them with sweet sticky rice. Nothing beats that! There is a Thai restaurant, Sripraphai where they have yummy mango sticky rices in Queens. It’s my most favorite Thai restaurant in NY. It makes me feel like home since they make very authentic Thai food – I’m talking about real Thai food, not Thai-American style.

I came here just to insist that, as cool as that photo is, it would be *even cooler* with a recipe… but I see you provided a link in the comments. Thanks! :)
I love Erica’s blog, thanks for introducing me to it.
Dan
I feel bad that all the comments are about the rice, and have ignored the whole book review thing, but I’m going to pile on. That looks awesome, and I love mango, and there’s just no way I can think about anything else with that tasty dish staring me in the face. Mmm…..
