I’m trying, but haven’t been able to do real blogging. Am doing micro-blogging, via Twitter, which may not be as helpful directly for my reputation. But one advantage is that’s it’s helping me stay informed of goings on in my field.
I’ve been tossing around the idea of starting a blog for a while now; my family has even encouraged it. But like many major endeavors, the hardest part is going beyond the thinking and getting to the doing. I have a couple of ideas of what I’d want to focus on. I would love the opportunity to share my experiences, but at the same time, the idea of putting myself out there is really daunting. I’d probably start off having a blog open to only friends and colleagues, then branch out based on feedback.
Do it! You can always stop if you don’t enjoy it!
